About The Photographer!
Jonathan Miller was born in Modesto, CA. and currently resides in Salida, CA. He became interested in photography in 2003 after purchasing a Kodak Digital Camera. After upgrading to the Canon S2IS, he became even more interested in the various aspects of focusing and picture composition, and purchased a Canon 30D digital Camera in 2007. Now, the addition of Canon's 100-400L & 24-105L IS USM lenses, along with a 10-22 wide angle lens intensify the photo opportunities available and he takes advantage of every opportunity to try new picture possibilities.
Due to Jonathan's lifelong interest in airplanes & airports, one of his favorite photo opportunities is aircraft photography. Another favorite is nature photography - sunsets, landscapes, or animals, which are able to be seen much better through a long lens than in person. Editing the photos in Photoshop after a good photo shoot are also a favorite.
Jonathan currently works as a drafter at Architecture Plus Inc. in downtown Modesto. Past projects designed by API have often provided photo opportunities to allow the architects to demonstrate their finished designs, or occasionally to see a current floor plan that needs remodeled.
Adding to the camera collection is also a favorite. New pieces and accessories provide learning experience, and provide a good excuse to go photograph!
